To be honest, I’ve never actually missed it. This isn’t because I’ve always been a fan of the show as a whole. I’ve simply always found it more difficult to watch than I was expecting to. Now, I am enjoying it more than I expected to.
You know me and netflix. I dont really like watching a show when Ive seen it before. Ive always found it to be rather bland and boring. Ive also watched it less than a few times when the show was in the air and I was just waiting for something new. But with the movie season now over, I might just have to give it a go.
Well, I’m not quite sure how to explain this but the movie is actually a fairly new movie that comes out on April 27, 2010. It’s a continuation of the story of Hunter X Hunter, which was a series of four movies that ran for five seasons on the US cable network Fox from 1999 to 2006.
The first film, Hunter X Hunter: Razor’s Edge, started out as a big budget action flick, but the film suffered from a lackluster script and was eventually canceled. Then there was the sequel, Hunter X Hunter: The Last Chapter, which came off as a little bit too big and too much like the first movie. The third film, Hunter X Hunter: The Diamond & The Black was a disaster, and I could go on and on about how it was a complete and utter disaster.
The unfortunate part about season 5 is that you can’t watch it on Netflix. The network doesn’t want to invest in making it a real TV show, and they’ve already given up on the movie. A bunch of the actors aren’t even interested in revisiting the films after a few years.
That’s where netflix comes in. You can watch the movie on-demand on ustream. The netflix app has a good search feature, and a few good options to watch movies on-demand. The only problem is that it only works on your ustream account. It doesnt work on other networks, and it wont work on non-ustream accounts.
It’s a shame because it would be great if netflix would invest in making a new show, and then take the risk of making a movie instead of just writing a movie about Hunter X Hunter. I still love that show, but for some reason it just doesnt make any sense that it would be a good movie to invest in.
I think they might be waiting for a big enough audience to make a movie. I mean its not like everyone will buy a movie on netflix or anything, but for fans and casual viewers who don’t want to pay for a cable subscription, its worth a shot. It’s not a perfect solution, but it might be the only solution.
Hunter X Hunter is a cult classic, and the one thing that sets it apart from everything else is that it is a show for kids. So the idea of making a movie for adults makes a lot more sense than making a movie that a lot of people who are not kids are going to watch. And its not like they want to make a movie that is going to offend anyone. They want to make a movie that is going to be a great source of entertainment to people of all ages.
Unfortunately, some people who are not of that age range are going to watch the movie anyway. Hunter X Hunter is only the latest in a long line of movies that have been making money for Netflix and Amazon because it’s a show for kids. You can’t make a show for adults and not offend anyone.
