The colder months are coming. The leaves are changing colors, and the temperatures are dropping! This is a great time to get cozy and find some inspiration for your home.

Whether you live in an apartment or house, there are many things that can be done to add warmth and energy back into your space.

In this blog post, we will provide 7 tips that will help you bring life back into your living space, no matter what size it may be!

Tip 01: Clean off your windows.

Who wants to look out a dirty window? There are plenty of options for cleaners, from the traditional vinegar and water mixture to more colorful versions like using orange peels or coffee grounds. Choose whichever one you prefer! Then use newspaper to dry them off quickly so they’ll be ready for the sunshine.

Tip 02: Switch out your air filters.

It can be easy to forget about the importance of changing your home’s AC filter, and it is even easier for them to get dirty! Install a timer on the unit so you will never have to worry again. Just set it up once and then let it do its thing while providing clean fresh air inside of your living space year round without much effort at all!

Tip 03: Bring in plants that are native or thrive during this time of year.

They provide extra oxygen during these colder months as well as some colorful life into any room they reside in. Take care not to overwater them so they don’t die if you ever forget!

Tip 04: Add some extra pillows and blankets.

It is important to add warmth back into your space, especially if you live in a cold environment! There’s nothing better than snuggling up on the couch with fuzzy socks and an oversized blanket while reading a good book so make sure that you have more than enough for everyone who will be staying inside this winter season!

Tip 05: Start crafting again.

Whether it’s knitting or crocheting (or something else!), take time out of your day to enjoy what hobbies are left as the weather gets colder outside. This can help distract from all work related stressors, plus there may not be any other opportunity before snow covers everything below ground!

Tip 06: Get out all of your winter clothes.

Whether it’s a favorite sweater or scarf that you’ve been waiting to wear, get them out and ready for the colder months ahead! It will be nice knowing they are right there, so you don’t have to go searching through piles of dirty laundry when it starts snowing outside.

Tip 07: Cook more often during this time of year.

The person who is most likely going to spend the most time in your house this season? You guessed it – yourself! So take some extra time on those nights where you know you won’t feel like cooking or cleaning up to create something healthy and filling as well as delicious that everyone can enjoy at the same time.

Bonus Tips:

Tip 08: Make a list of things that need to be completed by the end of November so you don’t forget anything important!

It is easy for this month, and all other months, to fly by without accomplishing much more than what needs done which can lead to stress overload before December rolls around again. So make sure your checklist has everything ready in advance so you don’t have to worry later on!

Tip 09: Get your winter wardrobe ready.

If you haven’t already, now is the time to start getting everything together that you’ll need for those cold months ahead! This includes coats and sweaters of course, but also hats and scarves as well they come in handy when it’s too cold outside or if there’s a chill inside from an air conditioner at full blast.

Tip 10: Dress up your fireplace mantle.

Even if you don’t have a working fireplace, this can be done with some faux fire logs and candles during these colder months! It will make any room feel more cozy just remember not to leave anything overtop unless wanted because things could get burnt quickly without proper supervision (and this includes your eyebrows).

Tip 11: Make some hot cocoa.

There’s nothing more comforting than a warm drink during these cold months! Especially when it is made by you, and especially if you add in marshmallows to keep everything extra fluffy (we won’t tell!). This can be done with the help of an instant packet or recipe on hand for those long winter days ahead so get started now!

Take inspiration from these tips and work on a plan for your house! You know the winter blues are coming so you can beat them head on with some new paint, light bulbs, or even plants. Get inspired by this article and consider how to incorporate more warmth and energy into your home. For more such lifestyle blog ideas stay tuned.
